Attention everybody, attention!!!
Guess what's happening this Saturday in Regent Park and all over the world?
If you don't know let me remind you...It's Earth Hour. Turn off all your lights and electrical things and be ready at 8:30 to watch all the windows do dark. Be part of the global solution!
See you there!

NMPPS participated in an early Earth Hour on Friday, March 27th. From 2 to 3 p.m. we shut down computers and turned off the lights to make our statement against climate change. I wonder what lasting effect one hour a year will have on the global effort to change personal, consumer, and instrustrial practice enough to alter climate change? I believe it will have a significant effect. I hope that by teaching and helping our children to act on global issues now we are setting them up for success in the future!
ReplyDeleteWhat I think is most important for me about Earth Hour is that it reminds me to be energy concious all the time. I make sure to turn off lights when I'm not in the room, turn off computers and anything else that is taking unecessary power. It is a reminder that we can all make a difference!
